This brooch is constructed of vintage elements.  A wonderful vintage black glass cameo with a lovely maiden in a flowing gown is surrounded by swooping birds.  Set in a vintage brass cameo setting and then dangled from a vintage brass ribbon pin.  Reminds me of Victorian mourning jewelry.
